Psalm 59:1

“Rescue me from my enemies, O God. Protect me from those who have come to destroy me.”

Don’t let anyone get you down. Rise above! All the anger and hatred of the world does more harm than good. In fact, there’s never any good in those anyway. Anger is a powerful emotion. Don’t let it break you. Don’t let the constant negativity and attitude win. That is not right. Neither is letting them take all of their frustrations out on you. They are weak. They are unhappy. Rise above and seek guidance from the Lord!

You have more strength inside than you realize. Don’t be afraid to show it.

Darkness never wins.

Monday Motivation

Happy Monday y’all! 🙂

There’s a lot of negativity around just by looking at the news alone so I understand the struggle im remaining motivated and positive. I’ve been there. But, just never give up. Always have that hope inside you. Always have the mindset that better things are yet to come. You are stronger than ever before! You have gone through many battles and conquered them all. Don’t let anyone take that away from you. Keep doing what you’re doing and shine on with positive vibes. Darkness never wins.

Remember who you truly are.

Keep your chin up and shine on!

My Story

We each have our own unique chapters through this wonderful thing called life. Crazy, complicated, easy, stressful, happy, and chaotic are all the main chapters. Here is my story of how I found God which made me become a better person than I was before.

I wasn’t the typical child. I was always a “quiet” kid which I was often made fun of. I never understood anyone around me. I felt so distant even to my family and the few friends I had during the time. I honestly felt fine and comfortable being the way I was (introvert, etc), but unfortunately not everyone felt the same.

All the choices I had made growing up, I thought it was for the best despite my feelings in a situation. As long as people’s stress levels were down, that was enough for me. It became hard keeping emotions inside without anyone knowing. I wasn’t the typical child. Eventually, I learned that although helping others is great and exciting, I found that balance of taking care of myself too.

I was often angry and upset at everything and everyone around me. I felt so lost. You might say I had depression issues, which that could have been correct during those years.

I had always felt that something was missing and that it just wasn’t right.

My grandparents go to church and I sure did my share when I was a kid too before I stopped going, but definitely not like an experience I am now having.

Then, one day, over a year ago on a cold January day, I made an impulse decision on a Sunday morning to drive down to a local church. I had no idea what to expect. I didn’t know if anyone would even notice me. But, something just told me to go in.

That changed my life.

I was greeted by very nice and welcoming people. The sermon was everything that I needed to hear. Every week more and more encounters with people making me smile and having a sense of belonging. It felt really nice.

As I continue on my journey through Christ, I realized that I’m much more calm and relaxed, and I tend to accept things a lot more. Traffic changes? Let it be! Political changes? Let it be! I’m more appreciative now more than ever before. I had a huge list of daily complaints, but now that is close to none (still human afterall). I feel better than I ever was before! The sense of belonging is finally with me! I will forever be grateful with whatever is handed to me.

I look forward to what’s to come in my journey.

Give Thanks

Ephesians 5:20

“And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

A whole lot of wisdom in just one verse. I will explain what I received from this. We are not self-made. We each have a creator. We’re all beautiful creatures just by who we are. Love yourself because God loves you truly.

Never forget to thank Him always, big or small, they’re all important. The bad things could teach us a lesson and make us even stronger if we let it. The good things, well, are blessings, and who doesn’t love blessings?

Thank God for everything, big or small. Food, shelter, love, family, fights, and pain. Always look up to the Lord and give thanks. He put you there for a reason. We may never know what the reason truly is, but be thankful to have the chance.

Giving thanks for everything leads us to trust Him more, which we all need.

I can honestly say how true these words are to me. I’ve tried them out many times and it leads me into becoming a much more grateful being. I’m glad to be here.

Yes, of course I mess up also, I’m so far from perfect, but I always come back to this verse. It has helped me out so many ways.

Songs That Changed My Life

Music can change any one of us. It doesn’t matter if it’s hip hop, pop, jazz, blues, rock, country or even gospel. We each have a tune that speaks to our soul. That’s what is truly amazing with it. Admire the differences. We’re all different for a reason.

I will share the top 3 songs that truly changed my life and outlook of everything I do on a daily basis. These Christian songs helped me out for the better and I will forever be grateful for them:

1. If Were Honest by Francesca Battistelli

2. Overcomer by Mandisa

3. Lord I Need You by Matt Maher

There are so much more songs that helped shaped me into becoming I am today, but I believe these songs stuck out the most when I really needed some guidance. I hope the same to you too.

Let me know what songs inspired you the most.

There is so much negativity in the world: the news, social media, coworkers, and even your mindset. Don’t let it consume you. I know what you’re thinking. That it’s easier said than done. I’ve been there. Negativity is very powerful, but so is positivity. It is also everywhere you go! You just have to open your eyes.

In every bad situation you face, think about at least one positive thing about it. If you don’t like a coworker, try to come up with one good quality. If you dislike your job, try to come up with good things about it. For example, it gives you a paycheck for shelter and food for you and your family.

Take a break. Turn off the news. Turn off social media. Do yoga. Go on a nature walk. Breathe. Relax.

Everyone and everything has at least one good quality. We each just have to dig down and find it. Embrace the good!

Be the change that you want to see in the world.

You are enough to conquer any battle that comes your way. Rise above and walk straight through. Remember your strength.

Breathe. Just breathe.

Never let fear win.

Never let people sabotage that feeling and your self-worth. You matter! Don’t ever let their evil and darkness win you over. Darkness never wins no matter what.

There’s still hope in this world. Help be that hope!

You are enough to handle anything that comes along your path. You are enough to shine light through to the darkness.

Open your eyes. Look up. The magic is already there!
