“So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. The two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.”
Another good passage to share. I often hear that when you believe in Jesus Christ, there are no more battles to go through and you can live however you want to live just because you have that belief. There’s a lot more to that. Life is full of battles. This passage speaks for itself. Every day, evil and sin fights hard to consume us. We have to be strong enough to say no to their sinful natures and follow what the Lord says and does every single day.
There is no such thing as level 1 sin or level 50 sin. Nothing is too big or too small in His eyes. All sin is still sin in the eyes of the Lord. Even the small office gossip that we all think occasionally as no big deal. That’s not true. We have to get rid of the mindset of “Oh it’s just a little gossip”. It’s still sin and evil nature feeds off on that. Whether it’s gossip or murder, all of it matters! Think before you say. Follow God’s word daily.
Good and evil. The constant war since the beginning of time. How unfortunate.
Let’s be obedient. Saturate your life im the word of God. Go to the roots of His tree, not just the surface. If you follow His word daily, your life will be better. I know this for a fact in my own life. Every struggle I go through daily, I read the Bible. And my life changes for good. So, study your sin enemies and try to understand what the Bible wants you to do to overcome the battle.
Separate yourself from the corrupting influences. Don’t bring them home. It will consume you. Yes, I understand that we need to have proximity with them, but they can’t and won’t influence us. The Lord is strong within us.
Kick out the Devil. He doesn’t belong anywhere.
This week’s Bible study will be in the book of Ruth. Another glorious chapter to feed the soul.
“And again they wept together, and Orpah kissed her mother-in-law good-bye. But Ruth clung tightly to Naomi. ‘Look’, Naomi said to her, ‘your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and to her gods. You should do the same.’ But Ruth replied, ‘Don’t ask me to leave you and turn back. Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God. Wherever you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord punish me severely if I allow anything but death to separate us!’ When Naomi saw that Ruth was determined to go with her, she said nothing more. So the two of them continued on their journey. When they came to Bethlehem, the entire town was excited by their arrival. ‘Is this really Naomi?’ the women asked. ‘Don’t call me Naomi’, she responded. ‘Instead, call me Mara*, for the Almighty has made life very bitter for me. I went away full, but the Lord has brought me home empty. Why call me Naomi when the Lord has caused me to suffer* and the Almighty has sent such tragedy upon me?’
Would you agree with me that this is a dark one for today? Grief is a powerful emotion. Many things are often tied to unresolved grief issues.
Grief and loss is definitely the biggest change there is. We never understand. We often get angry at God about why it happened and we may never know the answer. But, just remember, there’s a lot we never know what God is working on. He will always be ahead of everyone. Trust him still with all your heart even during the darkest times. He knows and understands your pain and suffering. Afterall, the most famous words in the Bible are “Jesus wept”. He knows the pain and suffering. Trust him that something will come out of it.
Life is full of changes. Learn to cope with life’s changes by accepting God and trusting Him fully. Changes are abound to happen. It’s human nature. You may not like it, and I’ve been there more times than you would know. It’s really tough! It’s definitely tough to accept change. What makes it easier is by putting God at the center of your life.
Life has its ups and downs. Never give up. Focus.
It seems like the weekend just started!! Oh well, got to be grateful for any day we get. Another day of breathing while many people took their last breath before. So, embrace what you have! Enjoy the simple things that life gives you. Don’t let all the negativity talk affect you. Be strong. Remember your strength and what you’ve been through. We’re not getting any younger.
Every day is a new day. Every week is a new week. Be the person who you’ve dreamt of becoming.
Be kind, be courteous, be respectful.
“Rescue me from my enemies, O God. Protect me from those who have come to destroy me.”
Don’t let anyone get you down. Rise above! All the anger and hatred of the world does more harm than good. In fact, there’s never any good in those anyway. Anger is a powerful emotion. Don’t let it break you. Don’t let the constant negativity and attitude win. That is not right. Neither is letting them take all of their frustrations out on you. They are weak. They are unhappy. Rise above and seek guidance from the Lord!
You have more strength inside than you realize. Don’t be afraid to show it.
Darkness never wins.
Music can change any one of us. It doesn’t matter if it’s hip hop, pop, jazz, blues, rock, country or even gospel. We each have a tune that speaks to our soul. That’s what is truly amazing with it. Admire the differences. We’re all different for a reason.
I will share the top 3 songs that truly changed my life and outlook of everything I do on a daily basis. These Christian songs helped me out for the better and I will forever be grateful for them:
1. If Were Honest by Francesca Battistelli
2. Overcomer by Mandisa
3. Lord I Need You by Matt Maher
There are so much more songs that helped shaped me into becoming I am today, but I believe these songs stuck out the most when I really needed some guidance. I hope the same to you too.
Let me know what songs inspired you the most.
There is so much negativity in the world: the news, social media, coworkers, and even your mindset. Don’t let it consume you. I know what you’re thinking. That it’s easier said than done. I’ve been there. Negativity is very powerful, but so is positivity. It is also everywhere you go! You just have to open your eyes.
In every bad situation you face, think about at least one positive thing about it. If you don’t like a coworker, try to come up with one good quality. If you dislike your job, try to come up with good things about it. For example, it gives you a paycheck for shelter and food for you and your family.
Take a break. Turn off the news. Turn off social media. Do yoga. Go on a nature walk. Breathe. Relax.
Everyone and everything has at least one good quality. We each just have to dig down and find it. Embrace the good!
Be the change that you want to see in the world.
You are enough to conquer any battle that comes your way. Rise above and walk straight through. Remember your strength.
Breathe. Just breathe.
Never let fear win.
Never let people sabotage that feeling and your self-worth. You matter! Don’t ever let their evil and darkness win you over. Darkness never wins no matter what.
There’s still hope in this world. Help be that hope!
You are enough to handle anything that comes along your path. You are enough to shine light through to the darkness.
Open your eyes. Look up. The magic is already there!
YOU ARE ENOUGH!
