Change

This week’s Bible study will be in the book of Ruth. Another glorious chapter to feed the soul.

Ruth 1:14-21

“And again they wept together, and Orpah kissed her mother-in-law good-bye. But Ruth clung tightly to Naomi. ‘Look’, Naomi said to her, ‘your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and to her gods. You should do the same.’ But Ruth replied, ‘Don’t ask me to leave you and turn back. Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God. Wherever you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord punish me severely if I allow anything but death to separate us!’ When Naomi saw that Ruth was determined to go with her, she said nothing more. So the two of them continued on their journey. When they came to Bethlehem, the entire town was excited by their arrival. ‘Is this really Naomi?’ the women asked. ‘Don’t call me Naomi’, she responded. ‘Instead, call me Mara*, for the Almighty has made life very bitter for me. I went away full, but the Lord has brought me home empty. Why call me Naomi when the Lord has caused me to suffer* and the Almighty has sent such tragedy upon me?’

Would you agree with me that this is a dark one for today? Grief is a powerful emotion. Many things are often tied to unresolved grief issues.

Grief and loss is definitely the biggest change there is. We never understand. We often get angry at God about why it happened and we may never know the answer. But, just remember, there’s a lot we never know what God is working on. He will always be ahead of everyone. Trust him still with all your heart even during the darkest times. He knows and understands your pain and suffering. Afterall, the most famous words in the Bible are “Jesus wept”. He knows the pain and suffering. Trust him that something will come out of it.

Life is full of changes. Learn to cope with life’s changes by accepting God and trusting Him fully. Changes are abound to happen. It’s human nature. You may not like it, and I’ve been there more times than you would know. It’s really tough! It’s definitely tough to accept change. What makes it easier is by putting God at the center of your life.

Life has its ups and downs. Never give up. Focus.

Light

Another day filled with God’s glory 😊 embrace it with gratitude!

Today’s message comes from: Matthew 5:14-16

“You are the light of the world – like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.”

Anything good that we receive comes from the Lord. It’s important to praise Him for everything you do. Be the light in your neighborhood. The more good deeds you do, the more people will appreciate, including God.

Big or small, anything can change the world.

The more good deeds you accomplish, the more you change your mindset over every little thing around you. You become more appreciative, more caring, more calm, more sincere, and more grateful. You will end up seeing things differently.

God wants us to help people; to help others grow closer to Him.

With God, all things are possible. His power is in us. Let us shine the light for all to see!

Photography Friday – Kindness Challenge

I have a challenge for you. There is so much turmoil and ugliness happening in the world right now, so I would like to do something about it.

In honor of today’s Photography Friday, spread what really counts: kindness. We’re all wrapped up in our own lives. Let’s give back to the community. Smile to others – even to strangers. A smile can truly go a long way. Open the doors for others. Help someone get an item from the top shelf of the store. Clean up the house. Go “above and beyond”. Do whatever you feel like doing to help spread more kindness.

That moment of kindness will be a beautiful photo in your memory for years to come.

Just look up.

Friday Already??

It’s fiiiiiinaly Friday!!!! And you know what that means! Happy photography Friday!!! :):)

I hope you all are having a beautiful week full of joys and smiles. One smile can go a long way!

In honor of photography Friday, please enjoy this fabulous sunset photo taken by a dear friend of mine: @ryanjasonphotography

Snow Day

Finally!! I actually missed seeing snow to be honest haha. It’s not a bad way to start off the new year. But, the roads weren’t very good. That’s the downside but I still am remaining to focus on the positivity of life! There are way too much negativity so I would like to remain positive!

I watched the news (only for the weather) and worked on crafts. Sounds like a good day, right?

Well, here are a few photos I decided to take in honor of Photography Fridays!!! I hope you enjoy them.
