“So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. The two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.”
Another good passage to share. I often hear that when you believe in Jesus Christ, there are no more battles to go through and you can live however you want to live just because you have that belief. There’s a lot more to that. Life is full of battles. This passage speaks for itself. Every day, evil and sin fights hard to consume us. We have to be strong enough to say no to their sinful natures and follow what the Lord says and does every single day.
There is no such thing as level 1 sin or level 50 sin. Nothing is too big or too small in His eyes. All sin is still sin in the eyes of the Lord. Even the small office gossip that we all think occasionally as no big deal. That’s not true. We have to get rid of the mindset of “Oh it’s just a little gossip”. It’s still sin and evil nature feeds off on that. Whether it’s gossip or murder, all of it matters! Think before you say. Follow God’s word daily.
Good and evil. The constant war since the beginning of time. How unfortunate.
Let’s be obedient. Saturate your life im the word of God. Go to the roots of His tree, not just the surface. If you follow His word daily, your life will be better. I know this for a fact in my own life. Every struggle I go through daily, I read the Bible. And my life changes for good. So, study your sin enemies and try to understand what the Bible wants you to do to overcome the battle.
Separate yourself from the corrupting influences. Don’t bring them home. It will consume you. Yes, I understand that we need to have proximity with them, but they can’t and won’t influence us. The Lord is strong within us.
Kick out the Devil. He doesn’t belong anywhere.
Patience is in everything. In love. In trust. In life.
We are often running around rapidly. We are so focused on reaching that destination at full speed. Slow down. Good things happen to people while they wait…patiently. God doesn’t want us to always rush and constantly be on the move. I know it’s hard to just sit back and breathe. I still struggle with it a lot.
For example, when you’re driving, many people are speeding up and often showing recklessness just to reach a destination. The constant honking when others are driving too slow for their own satisfaction. It’s insane! I get it. Life is crazy. But, it’s just not worth it especially in a moving vehicle. We are NOT invincible.
Slow down. Have patience. Wait.
We miss out on many blessings and the enjoyment of the little things that life gives you if we keep rushing.
Being impatient often brings a lot of anxiety. At least it does for me anyway and that is never good.
So, I have a challenge for you today. Slow down. Breathe. If anything comes just at least one minute longer than you anticipate, let it be. Take your time. Trust. Have faith in the timing. Enjoy the ride.
Another Monday has come! Hurray! I will praise any day I get, no matter what.
If you’re thinking that you’re stuck in a rut, day by day, doing the same ole things over and over again, you are not alone. I felt that way too. But, there’s no point in feeling that way. That feeling of being in a “rut” means security and that is hard to come by with a lot of families. Most likely you are working the same job every day and providing food and shelter for you and possibly your family. That’s amazing! You are doing a lot! Many people don’t even know where their next paycheck will be coming from or even how they will get their next meal. Take a look around. Are you going to bed hungry? What about your kids? Do you live in a home or on the streets? Chances are you are reading this on a fancy smartphone, tablet, or laptop. You are fine then. You’re doing great. Focus on the simple things of life. Appreciate the little things. So, I challenge you today to get rid of that ‘rut’ feeling. You don’t need it. You have most likely plenty of love and security around you.
Look up and enjoy what you have. What you are complaining about, someone else is praying for.
It seems like the weekend just started!! Oh well, got to be grateful for any day we get. Another day of breathing while many people took their last breath before. So, embrace what you have! Enjoy the simple things that life gives you. Don’t let all the negativity talk affect you. Be strong. Remember your strength and what you’ve been through. We’re not getting any younger.
Every day is a new day. Every week is a new week. Be the person who you’ve dreamt of becoming.
Be kind, be courteous, be respectful.
Another day filled with God’s glory 😊 embrace it with gratitude!
Today’s message comes from: Matthew 5:14-16
“You are the light of the world – like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.”
Anything good that we receive comes from the Lord. It’s important to praise Him for everything you do. Be the light in your neighborhood. The more good deeds you do, the more people will appreciate, including God.
Big or small, anything can change the world.
The more good deeds you accomplish, the more you change your mindset over every little thing around you. You become more appreciative, more caring, more calm, more sincere, and more grateful. You will end up seeing things differently.
God wants us to help people; to help others grow closer to Him.
With God, all things are possible. His power is in us. Let us shine the light for all to see!
“Rescue me from my enemies, O God. Protect me from those who have come to destroy me.”
Don’t let anyone get you down. Rise above! All the anger and hatred of the world does more harm than good. In fact, there’s never any good in those anyway. Anger is a powerful emotion. Don’t let it break you. Don’t let the constant negativity and attitude win. That is not right. Neither is letting them take all of their frustrations out on you. They are weak. They are unhappy. Rise above and seek guidance from the Lord!
You have more strength inside than you realize. Don’t be afraid to show it.
Darkness never wins.
“And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
A whole lot of wisdom in just one verse. I will explain what I received from this. We are not self-made. We each have a creator. We’re all beautiful creatures just by who we are. Love yourself because God loves you truly.
Never forget to thank Him always, big or small, they’re all important. The bad things could teach us a lesson and make us even stronger if we let it. The good things, well, are blessings, and who doesn’t love blessings?
Thank God for everything, big or small. Food, shelter, love, family, fights, and pain. Always look up to the Lord and give thanks. He put you there for a reason. We may never know what the reason truly is, but be thankful to have the chance.
Giving thanks for everything leads us to trust Him more, which we all need.
I can honestly say how true these words are to me. I’ve tried them out many times and it leads me into becoming a much more grateful being. I’m glad to be here.
Yes, of course I mess up also, I’m so far from perfect, but I always come back to this verse. It has helped me out so many ways.
